The NGVC is a national trade association representing natural gas companies, equipment manufacturers and service providers and government entities interested in the promotion of natural gas vehicles.

The Canadian Natural Gas Vehicle Alliance (CNGVA) is an alliance of natural gas vehicle industry partners including natural gas utilities, vehicle manufacturers, compression industries, NGV component and parts companies, governments, consultants, and R & D firms. The Alliance brings all NGV expertise together, particularly in the areas of market development and promotion, to collectively build and maintain an environment that encourages the further deployment of natural gas vehicles in Canada.

IANGV provides a focus for the exchange and provision of information, and a medium for action on NGV issues of an international nature.

The American Gas Association (A.G.A.) represents 181 local natural gas utilities that deliver gas to 54 million homes and businesses in all fifty states. Additionally, A.G.A. provides services to member natural gas pipelines, marketers, gatherers, international gas companies and a variety of industry associates.

The Canadian Gas Association is the national trade organization for Canada's multi-billion-dollar natural gas industry. Its 270 members span the industry spectrum and include Canada's major natural gas transmission companies, gas distributors, energy service providers, and manufacturers of gas appliances and equipment. The Alternative Fuels Data Center (AFDC), is the nation's most comprehensive source for information on alternative fuels. The Alternative Fuels Data Center is operated by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) with funding and direction from the Office of Technology Utilization within the Office of Transportation Technologies (OTT) at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The AFDC collects operating information from vehicles (in programs sponsored by the Alternative Motor Fuels Act ) running on alternative fuels, analyzes those data, and makes them available to the public. The AFDC also maintains information on research reports conducted for both the Biofuels Systems Division and the Fuel Utilization Data and Analysis Division of the DOE Office of Alternative Fuels

The Alternative Fuels Data Center lists refueling site locations (stations) for compressed natural gas (CNG), 85% methanol and 15% gasoline (M85), 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline (E85), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), as well as electric charging stations located throughout the United States.
